Chrome translator

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

So that’s just bloody great. If you are using google chrome like me, you might have noticed that google was so friendly to add a autotranslator to the browser this week. Noone asked for it, noone needed it, but still, they assumed we would all love it and accept it. To easen this process, they automatically installed this in the last update, without anyone’s consent. And the nice thing is, there is not hide/shut off/delete button for this application. Well thanks f*ck all for that.

I thought the engineers at Google were some of the smartest on this planet, but apparently they seem to forget that dictatorship doesn’t work in this world. So, im rolling back to firefox now, which is a shame since Chrome was the fastest browser around.

I did search for a solution online and found a pretty hilarious thread on google’s support forum.

If you are really considering still using Chrome in an unsafe untested version, but really HATE the translator, here you can find the solution how.

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Just a heads up for the people who are currently studying Japanese and looking to improve it in. If you have a facebook account, check out the application called “Kanji Box”.

With this application you can practice kanji, your vocabulary, read etc. Plus you can take the quiz and try to get a highscore. yippeeekayeee! Doesn’t look so great graphicswise, but just fun and educational.

“Kanji Box”.

Wisestamp

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Also getting tired of the boring signature in your gmail? Then check out Wisestamp.com, it’s easy, it’s cool and it’s a great plugin for both Firefox and Chrome to add a nicely designed signature to the bottom of your mail.

Check out mine:

Note: The plugin works great for Firefox but it has some loading issues in Chrome.

thnx to: Ingo Vogelmann
